What, another ship?! Yes, here’s another ship I started working on yesterday. I’m basing this one on much better resources and it should turn out better than the Cruiser. The Fletcher has a lot of history and if you’re interested here’s a link to read up on it: USS Fletcher

Ahead Two-Thirds! Here is an update to the Kuma model. I think I’m going to call this one done. My reference for this is so poor it’s really hard to make a good model. Based on what I had to look at this is an okay model, but if compared to the actual ship I would rank this piss-poor. It would be fine in a far-off background shot I guess, but certainly is unusable up close. Here’s a render:

You sank my Japanese Light Cruiser! I haven’t had much time for modeling this week, but here’s what I’ve been working on. Most of this was done last weekend, with tidbits added during the week. It still needs quite a bit of work.

Does it roll? As an exercise I built this yesterday. I doubt I’ll do any more on it and have no current plans to build the bike it belongs to.

I’m going in! Here are some updated renders. All the major shapes have been created, but there is quite a bit of detailing still to be done. Notice my attempts at action shots! 😉

Bird of prey! Here are some new renders. The fuselage kicked my arse, especially the nose (cone?). I must have built 15 versions of that thing. It’s still not right, but I was pretty over it by the end. I have to say this model has been way hard for me. Much harder than the MadCat. Maybe it’s due to my rusty-ness. Anyway, here are the renders:

Is that practical? Or even functional? I didn’t spend much time on this over the weekend. Basically just finished the wing laser (or mostly so anyway). Here are some quick renders:

Whatever purpose do those pop-up wings serve? Here is an update to my ARC-170. It’s amazing how long it takes to model something when you are distracted by a TV. All I have to say so far is that wings are hard. That laser of course still needs a lot of work.

10% Throttle. Since I’m not too interested in texturing the iPods at the moment, I started modeling this over the weekend instead.
